Four 'n' Aft (GB)
Four 'n' Aft are a four-part harmony group consisting of Chris Lock, Ian Tupling, Helen Pitt and Steve Dawes. Chris and Ian are from near Liverpool and Steve and Helen are from Stockton-on-Tees in the North East of England. They sing a wide range of maritime songs including Shanties and Forebitters, love songs, funny songs (and even drinking songs)! They got together in 2002 to explore the songs that they all love to sing and to try and bring a new dimension to the songs by experimenting with four-part harmonies. The result is a rich, strong sound and a blend of voices that complement each other. Their sense of fun is infectious and they love nothing more than to have an audience singing with them. Since forming, they have appeared at most of the major maritime festivals in the UK, including Lancaster, Liverpool and Hull and at many of the European festivals including Poland, Norway, and the Netherlands and, of course, here in Germany. Four 'n' Aft simply enjoy singing together, so try and catch them over the weekend sometime and enjoy singing along with them.
